DonutSMP Paper Game

Quick answer

The DonutSMP paper game rig selects the rarity tier before the reveal animation starts and holds it through the full cycle. Custom plugin tiers are read at runtime. Tier caps per stake bracket keep high-value rolls believable.

The paper game is a rarity roll with a long reveal. The rig decides the tier before the animation starts, then holds it through the entire cycle.

Every paper game round has a resolution step and a presentation step. The resolution picks a tier; the presentation plays the flip, the sparkle and the item reveal. The mod sits in the resolution step, so what you see is what was chosen — no visual trick, no desync.

Tier names come from the server plugin. Common, rare, epic and legendary are mapped by default; anything custom is read from the config table the first time the plugin sends it. If a tier is missing, the mod falls back to your configured weight rather than failing the round.

Stake scaling matters here more than in blackjack. A legendary tier on a small stake is noise; on a large stake it is a signal. The profile system stores a tier cap per stake bracket so the reveal stays inside believable bounds.

Questions

How does the paper game rig pick a tier?

It selects the rarity tier before the reveal animation starts, then holds that tier through the flip, sparkle and item display so the animation and the result always agree.

Can it hit legendary?

Yes. Legendary weight sits on its own slider. Two legendary rolls in a session read as luck; five read as a screenshot somebody posts.

What stake caps should I use?

Cap the top tier below a stake level where the payout would look wrong. A legendary on a minimum bet is the tell most tables notice first.
