Donut SMP rig status in 2026 — current version, supported builds and what changed this year.
Version 3.4.1 is the current build, with 1.21.4 support added this cycle.
donutsmp rig 2026: install shape, supported versions, and the handful of details that decide whether the jar loads at all.
The rig is a Fabric client mod. Drop the jar into .minecraft/mods, launch the Fabric profile, join the server. Loader 0.15+ covers 1.20.x, 0.16+ covers 1.21.x. Forge is a different mixin surface and is not supported.
The 1.21 render hook change moved the loader floor to 0.16.
The jar is 240 KB with no network calls. Config lives in .minecraft/config and never leaves the machine. Releases are verified by SHA-256 on the download page, not by a licence server, which is the main reason the build stays this small.
