Rigmod Linux
Running rigmod on Linux — mods path, Java runtime choice and Wayland overlay notes.
Linux is the cleanest install of the three platforms once the runtime is right.
rigmod linux: install shape, supported versions, and the handful of details that decide whether the jar loads at all.
The rig is a Fabric client mod. Drop the jar into .minecraft/mods, launch the Fabric profile, join the server. Loader 0.15+ covers 1.20.x, 0.16+ covers 1.21.x. Forge is a different mixin surface and is not supported.
Use the distro OpenJDK 17 package; the bundled JRE launchers sometimes miss GTK overlay deps.
The jar is 240 KB with no network calls. Config lives in .minecraft/config and never leaves the machine. Releases are verified by SHA-256 on the download page, not by a licence server, which is the main reason the build stays this small.
